On July 20, 1982, it was incorporated into Akdeniz University with the Decree Law No. 41 and became a vocational school providing associate degree education under the Isparta Faculty of Engineering. On July 3, 1992, it was affiliated with Süleyman Demirel University with Law No. 3837. It was affiliated with Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, established by Law No. 5467 dated 17.03.2006, and took the name Vocational School. In the Higher Education General Assembly Meeting dated 03.05.2012, its name was changed to Burdur Vocational School, and the economic and technical departments and the programs affiliated with these departments were transferred to the newly established Social Sciences Vocational School and Technical Sciences Vocational School within our University and moved to the İstiklal Campus. Within the scope of the project studies themed "Regional Development Focused Mission Differentiation and Specialization" coordinated by the Council of Higher Education and carried out together with the Ministry of Development, after our University was selected as a pilot higher education institution in the field of "Animal Husbandry", its name was changed to Burdur Food Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Vocational School by the Council of Higher Education on 23.06.2017.
Our vocational school is rapidly expanding its structure by closely following technology and other developments. In our school, where education and training are supported by contemporary application opportunities, our students reinforce the theoretical knowledge they acquire in classes by practicing in existing laboratories and businesses. A large portion of the students graduating from our vocational school work in the fields they graduated from; others work in different fields or continue their education by transferring to faculties through DGS.
