Digital Agriculture Students Show Great Interest in HAYTEKFEST
Yapılış Tarihi | 17 October 2025, Friday
Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) in collaboration with the Agricultural Technologies Cluster, supported under the Higher Education Council’s (YÖK) Regional Development Focused Mission Differentiation and Specialization Program, has started the HAYTEKFEST – Livestock, Agriculture and Food Technologies R&D and Innovation Festival.
The festival will turn Burdur into the center of agricultural technologies with events where innovative projects, scientific sessions, and industry representatives meet for three days.
In this context, 1st-year students of the Digital Agriculture Program, accompanied by faculty members Dr. Lecturer Ayşegül Taşçıoğlu and Dr. Lecturer Mete Yiğit, visited the festival. Our School Director Prof. Dr. Şenol GÜZEL visited the stands of the projects that reached the finals with “Production of Plant Nutrients by Modification of Biogas Digestate” and “Production of Rich Content Feed from Waste Raw Materials” and received information about the projects. Students gained insights by examining innovative projects developed in fields such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, circular economy, and smart agriculture technologies on-site.
During the festival, participants have the opportunity to follow current developments in sustainable agriculture and livestock; while new collaborations are being established between academia, industry, and entrepreneurship ecosystems.
HAYTEKFEST, which supports MAKÜ’s efforts contributing to regional development in agriculture and livestock, provides significant contributions to the sharing of innovative ideas and the shaping of future agricultural technologies.
