Burdur Gıda, Tarım ve Hayvancılık Meslek Yüksekokulu Dijital Tarım Teknolojileri Programı 1. Sınıf öğrencileri Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Ayşegül TAŞÇIOĞLU’nun yürüttüğü Sensors, Measurement and Instrumentation course kapsamında sektör-üniversite iş birliğini güçlendirmek ve teorik bilgileri sahada gözlemlemek amacıyla Burdur’da faaliyet gösteren Kayhan Ertuğrul Makina firmasına teknik gezi gerçekleştirdi.

During the technical trip, students had the opportunity to examine the production facility in detail from the entry of raw materials to the production line, assembly stages, quality control processes, and the shipment stage of the final agricultural machines. Thus, the planning of modern production processes, workflow organization, and quality standards applied in industrial enterprises were observed on-site.

Within the scope of the trip, sensor technologies, automation systems, and digital control applications used in agricultural machines particularly attracted the attention of the students. Information was provided by company officials about position sensors, level sensors, speed sensors, pressure sensors, and electronic control systems present in the machines. The importance of sensors in terms of agricultural efficiency, safety, precision farming applications, and machine performance was explained with examples.

Students also had the opportunity to gain information about engineering design, production planning, internship opportunities, R&D studies, and current developments in the agricultural machinery sector. The technical trip provided an important experience for students to see the theoretical knowledge they learned in classes in a real production environment.

It was stated that such technical trips, which support applied education as Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, make significant contributions to the professional development of students and their connection with the sector.
