Our University Students Came Together at the Salep Planting Event

Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Şenol Güzel, the Director of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Burdur Vocational School of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, a salep planting event was held to enable students from different departments of our University to closely understand agricultural production processes and gain practical experience.

Students residing in the Safahat, Salda, Fereli, and Asım's Nesli dormitories of the Credit and Dormitories Institution, as well as members of the Burdur Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate Youth Center and our University Green Collars Community, participated in the event.

During the event, students were informed about the characteristics of the salep plant, cultivation conditions, economic value, and its importance in agricultural production. Students who had the opportunity to observe the salep planting process on-site gained practical experience by learning about planting techniques.

The event, where theoretical knowledge was reinforced with practice, contributed to increasing students' awareness of agricultural production and allowed them to experience a learning experience intertwined with nature. The organization, which brought together different institutions and student communities, also provided an opportunity to strengthen inter-institutional cooperation and social interaction.

The event, which attracted great interest from students, ended with the participants being served salep.
