Academic Board Meeting Held at Burdur Food, Agriculture and Livestock Vocational School

As part of the preparations for the 2025-2026 academic year of Burdur Vocational School of Food, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, the Academic Council Meeting was held on Monday, September 22, 2025.

The meeting was chaired by the Director of the Vocational School, Prof. Dr. Şenol Güzel, with the participation of Deputy Directors Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aslıhan Cesur Turgut and Dr. Lecturer Pelin Ertürkmen.

Within the agenda items;

The importance of academic advisory activities was emphasized.

It was highlighted that 1st-year advisors should support students' adaptation to the university during orientation and adaptation weeks and play an active role in class representative elections.

It was stated that 2nd-year advisors should guide students during internship and graduation processes, direct them to participate in graduation ceremonies, and maintain communication with graduates.

Within the scope of MEDEK / Accreditation studies, it was stated that preparations for the Laboratory and Veterinary Health Program are ongoing. In this context, it was announced that an Evaluation Team visit to the Vocational School will be conducted between November 3-5, 2025.

Additionally, topics such as research and development activities, social events, personnel affairs, and the effective use of official communication channels were discussed.

The decisions made at the meeting, held with the active participation of the academic staff, are expected to contribute to the academic and social development of the students and strengthen the quality processes of the Vocational School.
