Burdur Food Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Vocational School Continued Its Growth in 2026 YKS Quotas

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Burdur Food Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Vocational School achieved a remarkable success with the quota data announced in the 2026 Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) preference guide. Despite a 6.10% decrease in quotas for associate degree programs across Turkey, Burdur Food Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Vocational School demonstrated a 9.23% growth performance and continued its development.

As of 2026, the Vocational School increased the number of active programs from 9 to 11, further strengthening its educational portfolio and incorporating new training areas to meet the changing needs of the agriculture and animal husbandry sector. In this context, the programs Beekeeping and Animal Husbandry Technologies and Management will accept students for the first time.

On the other hand, significant quota increases were also achieved in programs that guide the production models of the future. Quotas in the programs Digital Agriculture Technologies, Culinary Arts, Poultry Farming, Dairy and Beef Cattle Farming, and Dairy and Products Technology were increased by 10% to 16.7%, enhancing the capacity to train qualified human resources needed by the sector.
