Visit from Burdur Commodity Exchange Delegation to Burdur Food, Agriculture and Livestock Vocational School

Burdur Chamber of Commerce Board Chairman Mr. Ömer Faruk Gündüzalp, Board Treasurer Member Mr. Niyazi Boz, and Secretary General Ms. Naile Küçükkepeci Ergün visited Burdur Food Agriculture and Livestock Vocational School.

During the visit, the delegation met with the academic and administrative management, primarily the School Director Prof. Dr. Şenol Güzel. In the meeting, the activities carried out within the framework of the Vocational Schools Education Cooperation Protocol signed between the Council of Higher Education and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, as well as the Protocol Executive Committee (PYK) activities, were evaluated.

In the meeting; opinions were exchanged on the more effective use of Burdur's existing potential in agriculture and livestock, training the qualified human resources needed by the sector, increasing students' practical training and field experiences, and strengthening university-sector cooperation.

During the visit, regional priorities such as increasing productivity in livestock, improving milk quality, reducing feed costs, and promoting drought-resistant silage crops were also discussed. The parties agreed on developing joint projects in these areas and maintaining cooperation in a sustainable manner.

While thanking the Burdur Chamber of Commerce delegation for their kind visit, it was hoped that the meeting would further strengthen the role of Burdur Food Agriculture and Livestock Vocational School in regional development.
